Just read this article about how more people are using acoustic panels at home to fix echo and improve sound quality. I recently put some up myself, and honestly, it's made movie nights way better. Curious if anyone else has tried this or something similar?

Couldn't agree more. When I first moved into my place, the echo was pretty distracting—especially during movies or when friends were over. Instead of panels though, I ended up using thick curtains and a large area rug. Surprisingly, they worked wonders in absorbing sound and cutting down echo. Panels definitely seem like a solid solution too, but for anyone hesitant about installation, textiles can be an easy alternative to start with.
