if your home was in a wildfire zone, would you pay extra to remodel?

Been thinking lately, if I lived somewhere prone to wildfires, I'd probably wanna remodel my place to make it safer. But I'm guessing that'd cost quite a bit...would you guys fork over the extra cash or just risk it?
